JUMO is delighted to participate in the InnoTrans of 2024, the leading international trade fair for rail and transport technology. The trade fair will be held in Berlin from 24 to 27 September 2024. JUMO will be on display at Booth 240, Hall A, City Cube.

Rail technology has long been one of JUMO's key industries, so systems and solutions are specifically designed to withstand the harsh conditions on the track. They comply with EN 50155 standards and operate accurately and reliably even under vibrations, strong temperature fluctuations and electromagnetic influences. Even better, the JUMO portfolio covers a wide range of measurement objects. Start with temperature and humidity measurement, level determination and pressure monitoring. "These sensors make a significant contribution to improving the safety, efficiency and reliability of rail transport," said Lars Ronge, Transport Industry Manager at JUMO.

JUMO's temperature sensors continuously monitor the temperature of critical components such as motors, brakes and axle bearings. By detecting overheating at an early stage, maintenance measures can be initiated in time to avoid unplanned downtime. This extends the service life of the components and improves operational reliability. For example, at the exhibition, JUMO will present the new generation of wheelset sensors JUMO railTEMP.

Pressure sensors are essential for monitoring and controlling pneumatic and hydraulic systems in rail vehicles. They ensure the safe and reliable operation of the brake pressure system and monitor the pressure conditions of the air conditioning system and the hydraulic lifting system. The new JUMO hydroTRANS is an intelligent temperature and humidity sensor with an optional CO2 module. It is also used in the air conditioning of rail vehicles and can be extensively tested on the booth.

JUMO's level sensors ensure accurate monitoring of the level in various vessels and tanks, such as fuel tanks, coolant tanks and waste tanks. Accurate level measurement ensures that sufficient working fluid is always available and maintenance needs are detected in time. This improves the reliability and efficiency of vehicle operation. For example, the JUMO NESOS R01 LS float switch and the JUMO ZELOS C01 LS capacitive level sensor.
