New member of the EUCHNERMGB2 series, more powerful

· faithfulind

EUCHNER has developed two new function modules for its MGB2 Modular series multi-function door control system, which is popular with customers. This new small MCM expansion module can integrate up to 6 control elements to meet the individual control needs of customers. In addition, the new MSM sub-module can be used to connect common electromechanical safety switches, so that these switches can be easily connected to the PROFINET/PROFISAFE network.

MCM: Compact, scalable and powerful

for users who need more than six control functions provided by the MGB2 Modular security door system, EUCHNER now have the perfect solution. The new compact MCM expansion module has two slots, which means that it can be equipped with up to six control elements, such as emergency stop buttons and authorization switches or key rotary switches. This provides customers with more flexible choices. According to specific control needs, customers can choose this small expansion module or the old expansion module with 4 slots and up to 12 control components. MCM has many outstanding advantages. For example, sub-modules with functional components only need to be inserted into the expansion module by hot plug, and only need to be configured simply before use. Submodules can also be easily replaced if necessary. MCM is more flexible in function and application. It can be installed separately from the MGB lock module and the bus module, for example, the MCM and the MGB are installed in the production area, and the bus module is installed externally. The MCM can also be used in combination with a module without locking function or a bus module of a door handle.

MSM sub-module: plug-and-play decentralized peripherals

the MCM expansion module can be used in combination with the new MSM sub-module as a decentralized peripheral, which can be directly connected to an electromechanical safety switch with an M12 round plug. Fail-safe inputs can record the signal status of safety switches, such as pull-cord switches, emergency stop buttons, and travel switches, and can use PROFISAFE protocols to transmit safety signals to the control system through the PROFINET. The MSM submodule has three dual-channel digital inputs, allowing up to six slots to be used as safety inputs when using a small MCM expansion module. The MSM also applies to M12 plug-ins and M12 threaded plugs. In addition, the system can be hot-swappable during operation, and only simple configuration is required before it is ready for use.

The MGB2 Modular adopts a modular system design to provide users with greater flexibility. For this reason, expansion modules and sub-modules can be easily expanded, and functions can be easily expanded and changed. This means that users can benefit from a system that is customizable and flexible enough to meet any potential future needs.
